Been there... Done that...
Couldn't follow the beats...
Totally out of tempo...Haha.
Oh well, at least I can say,
"been there, done that!".
Life's about experimenting,
being adventurous,
having fun,
extending an helping hand,
& loving one another.
There's only one lifetime,
make it worthwhile!

Hands 2
In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. (Ephesians 5:22 & 28)
Perhaps this is the secret?
Read the whole chapter here.
(Some people reckon I'm a MCP... Well, I do have the bible to back me up you know!)

The Pale Blue Dot

Carl Sagan described the earth as "... a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam."
"Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.
In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."
(Carl Sagan in The Pale Blue Dot)
Indeed we need to remember we ARE small, nothing we do on earth means anything if we see life in this scale!
"I don't know about you, when I first saw it, a shrinking feeling came over me, and I knew in that moment that my life is a tiny little blip on the radar of history, a vapour infinitesimal little life." (Louie Giglio from Indescribable)
However, we must not underestimate our value. For God, who created the universe, who named every star there is in the cosmos, who also created this tiny pale blue dot, as a home for you and I, emptied Himself and came to us to redeem us.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Too Proud...
we hunger for honour and prestige,
we thirst for power and wealth,
we measure life by achievement,
and everlastingly dreaming of success.
Can anyone say that they are not vain?
Or do not have an ounce of egotism or pride in their hearts?
Jesus called them together and said,
"You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
(Mark 10:42-45)
耶稣叫他们来,对他们说;
“你们知道,外邦人有尊为君王的,治理他们,有大臣操权管束他们。
只是在你们中间,不是这样。
你们中间,谁愿为大,就必作你们的用人;
Everybody seems to be too proud to serve nowadays...

Of Men and Apes
we speak, dance, and sing,
write novels or poems,
build sky scrapers and aeroplanes,
think philosophical or religious questions,
ask why, what and how,
go on dates and fall in love,
make comedies fo us to laugh,
and horror movies for us to scream,
'tie' ourselves in marriages,
build huge theme parks for our kids,
sing praises and worship God,
and many more!
Isn't it a wonder that some people still believe that our ancient grandparents were apes?
Ten million years from now,
apes will still be apes,
and not to mention the other creatures of this planet...
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)
The Mightiest Thought, The Weightiest Word
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)
We may speak because God spoke. In Him word and idea are indivisible.

Ignoring the Nudges of My Conscience
- Have you take any action yet? Do it before others. ^.^
Actually these posts here are meant to be for myself, as a reminder to act. I have to admit, like everybody else, I am just another ordinary guy. I'm lazy, selfish, gluttonous, proud, egoistic, irresponsible, inconsiderate, etc. Have even been labelled MCP (the previous descriptions probably sums up to MCP?). Haha.
However, every now and then my conscience 'nudges' me, and most of the time I've left it be (ignoring it until it fades off). I am writing all these down now, whether it be 'nudges' (of the conscience) from the past or present, and denying myself the chance to ignore them any longer.
There is a time for everything, and now would definitely be a good time to start!
(Of course, these posts are also meant to help nudge the reader's conscience as well...if its still nudgeable)

Either they’re right, or they’re wrong.
(Don't give ourselves excuses...)
相信万事皆有可能;

The Stirring of our Hearts
How many times have we ignored the stirring of our hearts by our conscience?
Be it the poor or disabled begging for food,
the man with a charity donation can,
the homeless on the streets,
the hungry children in Africa or rural China,
the 2006 Boxing Day Tsunami victims;
Don’t let our hesitations stop us from reaching out to these needy people,
whom our conscience has stirred up our hearts!
Let us give them hope,
and let us be their miracle,
which God had always intended us to be!
So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man. (Acts 24:16)
Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. (Hebrews 13:18)
God may ask us one day why didn't we do anything when He stirred up our hearts that day....
and I'm sure I do not want to be answering to that...

It may have been bad grammar, but it was good theology.

The Gift of Life
You can either keep on dreaming to be a superhero saving the world from a supervillain,
or you can keep on dream of the day you in shining armor saving a damsel in distress...
But lets be honest to ourselves, thats not gonna happen!
The easiest way to help save lives (and cost-free also) is donating blood...
up to 3 lives could be save with just one blood donation.
You can donate once every 3 months, that means up to 12 lives could be saved in a year because of you...
如果救人一命,胜造七级浮屠;
No more hesitations, no more excuses, make a booking with redcross today!

Simple Christology 1
and for those of other faiths who wants to know a little bit more on Christianity...
First and foremost, we believe in God the Creator.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)
You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you. (Nehemiah 9:6)
It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts. (Isaiah 45:12)

Footprints in the Sand
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”
(Mary Stevenson, 1936)
Note: You may find some other versions of this poem by other authors, but the authorship of this poem should not be the main focus here. Whats important is its inspirational values, whoever the author may be.
"...And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:20b)

记得世上那些无依无靠的孩儿们;

What a Wonderful World!
I see them bloom for me and you;
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue and clouds of white;
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night;
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky;
Are also on the faces of people going by;
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?";
They're really saying "I love you".
I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow;
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know;
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world;
Yes, I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
Oh yeah.... (Louis Armstrong)
The world sure is wonderful!!!
A Time for Everything...
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
There's a time to write, and I think it is now....
