Too Proud...

We are status seekers,
we hunger for honour and prestige,
we thirst for power and wealth,
we measure life by achievement,
and everlastingly dreaming of success.

Can anyone say that they are not vain?
Or do not have an ounce of egotism or pride in their hearts?

Jesus called them together and said,
"You know that those who are regarded as rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
(Mark 10:42-45)

耶稣叫他们来,对他们说;
“你们知道,外邦人有尊为君王的,治理他们,有大臣操权管束他们。
只是在你们中间,不是这样。
你们中间,谁愿为大,就必作你们的用人
在你们中间,谁愿为首,就必作众人的仆人
因为人子来,并不是要人的服事,乃是要服事人,并且要舍命作多人的赎价。” (马可10:42-45)

Everybody seems to be too proud to serve nowadays...

me & myself said...

We learn to be humble no matter who, where we are. Yeah, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. HUMBLE is the meaning. People nowadays are too proud of themselves especially those who earn alot or with higher status level. And i am still learning.
